You can put this solution on YOUR website!
steps to solve

3y-2%28y%2B19%29+=+9y-3%289-y%29

Step 1. Multiply out the terms to get rid of the parenthesis.

3y-2%28y%2B19%29+=+9y-3%289-y%29

3y-2y-38=9y-27%2B3y

Step 2. Combine like terms to simplify

y-38=12y-27

Step 3. Now isolate y on the right side and numbers on the left. Here are the steps.

Add -y to both sides of the equation

y-38%2B%28-y%29=12y-27%2B%28-y%29

-38=11y-27

Add 27 to both sides of the equation

-38%2B27=11y-27%2B27

-11=11y

Divide by y to both sides of the equation

-11%2F11=11y%2F11

-11%2F11=y

-1=y

Step 4. ANSWER: Solution is y=-1

I hope the above steps were helpful.
