You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the equation by first clearing the decimals

2.3x+9.2=23

Step 1. To clear the decimals multiply by 10 to both sides of the equation.

10%2A2.3x%2B10%2A9.2=10%2A23

23x%2B92=230

Step 2. Subtract 92 from both sides of the equation

23x%2B92-92=230-92

23x=138

Step 3. Divide by 23 to both sides of the equation

23x%2F23=138%2F23

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2.3x+9.2=23
10(2.3x+9.2)=10*23 Multiply both sides of the equation by 10
23x+92=230
23x+92-92=230-92 Subtract 92 from both sides
23x=138
23x/23=138/23 Divide by 23 both sides
x=6 is the solution
