Add 7a-6 to both sides of the equation

-7a-9%2B7a-6=6%2B7a-6

-15=7a

Divide 7 to both sides of the equation

-15%2F7=7a%2F7

a=-15%2F7

Also solve

5x%2B14=-x

Subtract 5x from both sides of the equation

5x%2B14-5x=-x-5x

14=-6x

Divide -6 to both sides of the equation

14%2F-6=-6x%2F-6

x=-14%2F6=-7%2F3
