Do you mean 2%2F%283x%2B4%29+=+1%2F%283x%2B6%29? If so, remember that
a%2Fb=c%2Fd means that ad=bc. Likewise,
2%2F%283x%2B4%29=1%2F%283x%2B6%29 means that 2%283x%2B6%29=+1%283x%2B4%29

6x+12=3x+4
3x= -8
x=-8/3

The check is so ugly because of the fraction, that it might be easier to just solve the problem again!
