stephen spent 38.72on new shoes and 23.19 on computer software.when she was finished she had 31.18.how muck money did she have before she whent shopping?

Amount she started out with - what she spent = the remainder

In other words, let us make the amount she started out with be A

Then our equation is: A - (38.72 + 23.19) = 31.18

A - 61.91 = 31.18

A = 31.18 + 61.91

A = 93.09, which means that she started out with A, or $highlight_green%2893.09%29.
