When solving x%5E2%2B4=0, the solutions are x=-2i or x=2i (don't forget about the plus/minus of the square root).

So the three solutions are x=-2i, x=2i or x=3%2F2. Take note how the degree of the equation is 3 and that there are 3 solutions.
