Question 196692: I'm coming up with the incorrect answer to the following problem. Can you assist me?
A large pond is stocked with fish. The fish population P is modeled by the formula P = 4t + 8√t + 110, where t is the number of days since the fish were first introduced into the pond. How many days will it take for the fish population to reach 500?
thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let x=√t

500 = 4x^2 + 8x + 110

subtracting 500 and dividing by 2 ___ 0 = 2x^2 + 4x - 195

use quadratic formula to find x

t = x^2
