replace y with (x+2) in the second equation & solve for x.
(x+2)+1=2x
x+2+1-2x=0
-x=-3
x=3 ans.
y+1=2*3
y+1=6
y=6-1
y=5 ans.
Proof:
5+1=2*3
6=6
