Question 182330: Ok, I am having problems trying to figure out what the other 2 solutions are within this problem, I have tried using the quadratic equation formula and I get (3+sqrt71)/10 and its not correct, so could someone please help me figure this out, I would greatly appreciate it.
Here is the problem :

The equation 5x^4-3x^3-4^2 has three real solutions they are : ____ , 0 ,____
Hint: factor out common factor (yielding one solution), then maybe use quadratic equation to find the others.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The equation 5x^4-3x^3-4^2 has three real solutions they are : ____ , 0 ,____
-----------------------------------------------
I'm going to assume you mean 5x^4-3x^3-4^2 = 0
There is no common factor.
I'll bet the 3rd term should be 4x^2.
