Question 177143: Thank you very much for the answer
Now i have another question
can you explain me the process of how this ended up given (25/28)d + 9 = d
I have the following
d/6+d/12+d/7+5+d/2+4=d I do get where the 9 comes from, but i tried to add that up by using LCD and it did not give 25/28.
Please can you explain me the process...
Thanks as always

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

d%2F6%2Bd%2F12%2Bd%2F7%2B5%2Bd%2F2%2B4=d Start with the given equation.

Multiply EVERY term by the LCD 84 to clear out the fractions.

14d%2B7d%2B12d%2B420%2B42d%2B336=84d Multiply. Notice how the denominators cancel and the fractions are gone.

75d%2B756=84d Combine like terms on the left side.

75d=84d-756 Subtract 756 from both sides.

75d-84d=-756 Subtract 84d from both sides.

-9d=-756 Combine like terms on the left side.

d=%28-756%29%2F%28-9%29 Divide both sides by -9 to isolate d.

d=84 Reduce.

Answer:

So the solution is d=84
