Let x, x+2, x+4, x+6 be the 4 consecutive even intergers.
(x+6)/2=x-5
x+6=2(x-5)
x+6=2x-10
x-2x=-10-6
-x=-16
x=16 answer.
Proof:
(16+6)/2=16-5
22/2=11
11=11
