Question 171199: My niece needs help. I tried to solve it but I don`t think I got it correctly.
This is equations & inequalities.
12.6x/6-2y ≤.4y
This is what I did:\
12.6x/6-2y-.4y=0
12.6x/6-2.4y=0
12.6x-2.4y=6
we`re supposed to solve x & y,right?
can we substitute any number we want for x or y to solve one of them?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
adding 2y __ 6x/6 ≤ 1.6y

"cancelling" the sixes __ x ≤ 1.6y

with only one expression, you can't solve for two variables

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6x/6-2y ≤4y

Problems almost always come with directions.
Your problem cannot be "solved" because it has two variables.

Can you determine what the directions are for your problem?
