Call the numbers a and b
a+=+b+%2B+4
a+%2B+b+=+34
Substitute a in the 1st equation for a in the 2nd
b+%2B+4+%2B+b+=+34
Subtract 4 from both sides
2b+=+30
Divide both sides by 2
b+=+15
a+=+b+%2B+4
a+=+19
The numbers are 19 and 15
