4x=-6%2B2 combine similar terms
4x=-4, add or subtract
cross%284%29x%2Fcross%284%29=cross%28-4%291%2Fcross%284%29 divide 4 to isolate x
x=-1 ANSWER
Check via eqn:
4%28-1%29-2=-6
-4-2=-6
-6=-6
