You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the following simultaneous equations using the elimination method.
system%287x+-+11y+=+1%2C+4x+%2B+5y+=+12%29

To eliminate y, multiply the first equation by 5 and
the second equation by 11
system%2835x+-+55y+=+5%2C+44x+%2B+55y+=+132%29
Add vertically term by term:
79x=137
Divide both sides by 79
x=137%2F79
system%287x+-+11y+=+1%2C+4x+%2B+5y+=+12%29
To eliminate x, multiply the first equation by -4 and
the second equation by 7
system%28-28x+%2B+44y+=+-4%2C+28x+%2B+35y+=+84%29
Add vertically term by term:
79y=80
Divide both sides by 79
y=80%2F79
