x^2-3x-40(over/)5x divided by (x+5)
I tried to work it through, and this is what I got so far.
x^2-3x-40(over/)5x times 1 over x+5
(x-8)(x+5) over 5x times 1 over x+5
x+5 cancels out because there are 2.
so I got
1x-8 over 5x
I am just not sure if this is the answer, or if it can be factored further, or if the x's can cancel out.

If the problem is %28%28x%5E2-3x-40%29%2F%285x%29%29%2F%28x%2B5%29 then %28%28x%5E2-3x-40%29%2F%285x%29%29%2F%28x%2B5%29=%28x-8%29%2F%285x%29 which means that you are correct. Take note that x%3C%3E-5 or x%3C%3E0
