You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Remember, to find percentages, we can use the ratio

  part percent
-------- = ----------
  whole 100

Since 300 is the "part", 450 is the "whole", this gives the ratio: 300%2F450=x%2F100

300%2F450=x%2F100 Start with the given ratio

%28300%2F450%29%2A100=x Multiply both sides by 100

30000%2F450=x Multiply

200%2F3=x Simplify

So our answer is x=200%2F3 which is roughly 66.67

Now subtract this percentage from 100 to get

100-66.67=33.33

So the percent of discount is 33.33%
