You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm having problems trying to figure out this math problem. I'm stuck and no matter what i do the answer just does not come out right. the problem is

0.96y-.079=+0.32y=0.46

Unfortunately, there is a typo because there
are two equal signs. I will assume one of
them must have been supposed to be a plus sign
and you neglected to hold down the Shift key.
So your problem was either:

0.96y-0.079=+0.32y%2B0.46 or 0.96y-0.079%2B+0.32y=0.46

I'll assume it was the first:

0.96y-0.079=+0.32y%2B0.46

Since one of the decimals 0.079 shows three
decimal places put a 0 on the end of the other
decimals so they will also have three decimal
places:

0.960y-0.079=+0.320y%2B0.460

Now, in each term, move the decimal three
places to the right, so they will all become
whole numbers:

960y-79=320y%2B460

Add -320y to both sides:

640y-79=460

Add 79 to both sides:

640y=539

Divide both sides by 640:

640y%2F640=539%2F640

Cancel the 640's

cross%28640%29y%2Fcross%28640%29=539%2F640

y=539%2F640

y=0.8421875

Round to 3 decimal places

y=0.842
