Remember that quadratic equations have two solutions: The two solutions may be identical or they may be different, but there will be two of 'em.
5x%5E2+%2B+33x+-+14+=+0 This can be factored.
%285x+-+2%29%28x+%2B+7%29+=+0 Apply the zero products principle.
%285x+-+2%29+=+0 or %28x+%2B+7%29+=+0
If 5x+-+2+=+0, then 5x+=+2 and x+=+2%2F5 So, x+=+0.4
If x+%2B+7+=+0, then x+=+-7
The two roots are:
x = 0.4
x = -7
