Question 135609: 6(t+2)-4(t-3)=0
Answer by baholik06(4) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! First you have to distibute 6 to (t+2) and -4 to (t-3). Don't forget about the negative sign on the 4. So you will get 6t+12-4t+12=0. Combine like varibles. 2t+24=0. Now you have to get t by itself. So you have to put 24 on the other side of the equals sign. Since 24 is a positive, you have to subtract from both sides to cancel out 24 on the side of 2t. So you will have 2t=-24. t is still not by itself, so since it is multiplied by 2, you have to divide 2 on both sides to cancel out the 2 on 2t. so you will end up with the answer t=-12.
