First you need to distribute 3 to (v-4) and 6 to (v+3). So you will have 3v-12-2=6v+18. Combine like varibles. 3v-14=6v+18. Get v by itself. Subtract 3v from 6v to get -14=3v+18 and subtract 18 from -14 to get -32=3v. Then divide 3 to -32 to get v=-32/3. It doesn't break down any further so that is your answer. v=-32/3.
