Question 132330: Word Problem:
A company purchased a car for $25,000, and expect its value to depreciate
$2,500 per year.
Write an equation for the value fo the car, y, in terms of years X.
Please help or let me know if this is correct
Depreciation = $25,000-$2,500 divided by 1x or
using 1 x for each year.
The equation would be Y= 25,000-2,500(x) Is this correct?
Thank you, This was in my notes as an example to study for test. I have been unable to find even 1 similiar in the book Can you please help. Thank You

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y+=+25000+-+2500x
correct. I would say the depreciation is 2500x
