SOLUTION -
-3X+Y=1
Y=1+3X .......(i)
5x+2y=-4
substituting the value of y from equation (i) we have
5x+2(1+3x)=-4
5x+2+6x=-4
11x+2=-4
11x+2-2=-4-2
11x=-6
x=-6%2F11
now substituting the value of x in equation (i) we have
y=1+3x
y=1+3*-6%2F11
y=1-%2818%2F11%29
y=%2811-18%29%2F11
y=-5/11
