2.8 = -log%283.5%2FQ%29 and you want to find Q
:
Multiply the equation by -1 to put the negative on the left
-2.8 = log%283.5%2FQ%29
:
Find the anti-log of both sides; %2810%5Ex%29of -2.8 = .001585
:
.001585 = 3.5%2FQ
:
Multiply both sides by Q
.001585*Q = -3.5
:
Q = 3.5%2F.001585
:
Q = 2208.2

Check on a good calc: enter: log(3.5/2208.2) = -2.79997 ~ -2.8
