u%5E2%2B5u%2B7u%2B35 is a very pretty polynomial, but there really is nothing to solve unless you set it equal to something. Perhaps rather than 'solve' you meant 'factor' in which case recognize that the product of 7 and 5, the coefficients on the u terms, is 35, So:

u%5E2%2B5u%2B7u%2B35=%28u%2B5%29%2A%28u%2B7%29

You can verify this by applying FOIL to %28u%2B5%29%28u%2B7%29.

If, on the other hand, you actually meant 'solve' and just left the "=0" off of the end of the equation when you typed it, you would have needed to factor it anyway.

u%5E2%2B5u%2B7u%2B35=0
%28u%2B5%29%28u%2B7%29=0, so

u%2B5=0 or u%2B7=0, meaning u=-5 or u=-7

I'll let you plug these values back into the equation and do the arithmetic to check the answer.
