You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A man paints a house in 12 hours. He paints another in 29 hours. How many hours altogether?
---------
Do you mean how many hours will it take him to paint both houses?
Is that not 12 + 29 = 41 hours ?
Cheers,
Stan H.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

if he paints a house H%5B1%5D in t%5B1%5D=12h, he paints another H%5B2%5D in t%5B2%5D=29h, and he paints altoogether t hours, we will have:
t+=+t%5B1%5D%2B+t%5B2%5D
t+=+12h+%2B+29h+
t+=++41h+
