If so, multiply both sides by the LCD which is 4:

4%2A%28x%2F4%29+=+4%2A%28-x%2F2%29+-+4%2A1

Divide out all the denominators:
x+=+-2x+-+4

It's best to get all the x terms to the left side by adding +2x to each side, since the number terms are already on the right side.
x+%2B+2x+=+-2x+%2B+2x+-+4
3x+=+-4

Divide both sides by 3:
x+=+-4%2F3
