You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Write inequality as you read the problem

    2x - 4 > 9.

Now simplify and solve. Start adding 4 to both sides. You will get

    2x > 9 + 4

    2x > 13.

Divide both sides by 2 to get the answer

    x > 13%2F2 = 6.5.

ANSWER. x > 6.5.

For example, x can be 7, 8, 9 etc.
