a) Find x and y
since (3y, 2x+-+3) = (-9, -7), you have
3y=-9
y=-3
2x+-+3=-7
2x+=-7%2B3
2x+=-4
x+=-2

b) Find 3x+-+2y
3x+-+2y
=3%2A%28-2%29+-+2%28-3%29
=-6+%2B+6
=0
