If forget/neglect the air resistance and consider the events in vacuum,
   where only gravitation does matter, then


    (a)  v = v%5B0%5D - g*t = 14 - 10*1 = 4 m/s

                              (here g is the free fall acceleration 9.81 m/s ~ 10 m/s).



    (b)  t = v%5B0%5D%2Fg = 14%2F10 = 1.4 seconds.
