we know that
x%2By=40%2B24
x%2By=64
we also know that
%28x%2F100%2964=40->x=4000%2F64->x=62.5%
%28y%2F100%2964=24->y=2400%2F64->y=37.5%

so, 62.5% percent of the vehicles in the parking lot were cars
