You can put this solution on YOUR website!

if a boat travels at s=5.5 knots per hour, in 4+hours will be
d=s%2At
d=5.5%28knots%2Fh%29%2A4h
d=22knots=>since A knot is one nautical mile per hour (1knot+=+1.15%28mil%2Fh%29 ), distance will be d=22%2A1.15mil=25.3mil

A boat leaves the dock and travels at 5.5 knots per hour headed East.
How far does it go in 4 hours?
-----
knots is a unit of speed, = 1 nm/hour
--> knots/hr is acceleration, tho not a commonly used unit
---------------------
At the end of 4 hours, the boat's speed is 4*5.5 = 22 knots.
The average speed is (0+22)/2 = 11 knots
4*11 = 44 nautical miles.
=============================
Never seen "knots/hour" used before.
---
Flying in Vietnam, we had airspeed in knots, maps in kilometers, altimeters in feet.
Vertical speed indicators (VSI) in feet/minute.
And people shooting at us.

From a dictionary, learn the meaning of the term  "knot"  and use it   P R O P E R L Y.

    In this context, a knot is one nautical mile per hour.

    It is the unit of speed - not the unit of distance.
