x%2A14+=+56%2A28
14x+=+56%2A28.....divide both sides by 14
14x%2F14+=+56%2A28%2F14
x+=+56%2A28%2F14..........divide 28 and 14 by 14

x+=+56%2A2
x+=+112
check:

x%2F28+=+56%2F14......plug in x
112%2F28+=+56%2F14......

4=+4......
