Question 1127165: Solve for x/theta
a) 12 sin^2(theta) - 7sin(theta) + 1 =0
b) 1/x = 1/a +1/b
c) (x^2) - 3/x^2 = 2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a) (4 sin x-1)(3 sin x -1)=0
sin x=(1/4) or 1/3
x=.25 radians or .34 radians
b) multiply by xab
ab=bx+ax
factor the x out
ab=x(a+b)
x=ab/(a+b)
c)multiply all by x^2
x^4-2x^2-3=0, after moving the 2 to the left
factor
(x^2-3)(x^2+1)=0
x=+/- sqrt (3) and +/- i. Must check these answers, and they both work.
