Question 1117881: Carlos makes a circuit for an Easy-Bake Oven with three resistors: R1 = 90 ohms, R2 = 60 ohms, and R3 = 30 ohms. He puts resistor one parallel to resistors two and three, which are in series. What is the equivalent resistance? Found 2 solutions by solver91311, ikleyn:Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
You have asked an electronics or a physics question. This is a mathematics website. Perhaps you go to a shoe store to buy a head of lettuce. Either is a poor strategy.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
R2= 60 ohms and R3= 30 ohms connected in series are equivalent to R2 + R3 = 60 + 30 = 90 ohms.
R1 and R2+R3 connected in parallel, are equivalent to = = = = 45 ohms.
Answer. 45 ohms.
Everybody who only starts learning electrical circuits, knows how to do such calculations.
