You can put this solution on YOUR website! Remember the .3 really means 3/10 (since it's in the tenths place). So the number 2.3 is really 2 and 3/10
Start with the given mixed number
Multiply the denominator 10 by the whole number 2 to get 20
. Add 20 to the numerator 3 to get 23. This final result is the new numerator
Place the new numerator over the same denominator
