2x%2B5%2B%281%2F2%29%286x-1%29=-%281%2F2%29+........first, both sides multiply by 2 to get rid of fractions
2%2A2x%2B2%2A5%2B2%281%2F2%29%286x-1%29=-2%281%2F2%29+



4x%2B10%2B%286x-1%29=-1+
4x%2B10%2B6x-1=-1+
10x%2B9=-1+
10x=-1+-9
10x=-10
x=-10%2F10
x=-1
