Don't worry. If you think about the key words, then it is very easy.
Alright. Key words:
1) Class of 80 students = 80
2) Divide
3) Groups of 6,8, or 10
These are the key words. Simple enough, correct? Basically all it's saying is if 80 can be divided by 6,8, or 10. Let's try it out. Since these are STUDENTS, there is no half person, or etc. (hopefully there isn't).
1] 80%2F6 is this possible? well, 80 divided by 6 is...13.3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333. it's endless! And there is no such thing as third of a student. So this one is no.
2] 80%2F8 is this possible? 80 divided by 8 is 10, so definitely yes. She can divide the group of 80 into 8 groups of 10 people in each group.
3] 80%2F10 is this possible? 80 divided by 10 is 8, so this one is also yes. She can divide the group of 80 into 10 groups of 8 people in each group.
So #2 and #3 is yes. It is possible because of the fact that they are a whole number (so no decimals or fractions or negatives) and the groups can be divided EQUALLY from 80 into 10 groups of 8 or 8 groups of 10.
Alright. Good luck.
