Step 1) Subtract the y values: -12 minus 2 = -14
Step 2) Subtract the x values (same order as you did the y values): 2 minus -3 = 2+3 = 5
Step 3) Divide the differences. Divide the y difference over the x difference to get -14/5
The slope, as a fraction, is -14/5
