You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for b:
%281%2F2%29b%2B3%2F5+=+2b-9%2F10 Multiply through by the LCD of 10.
10%28%281%2F2%29b%2B3%2F5%29+=+10%282b-9%2F10%29 Simplify.
5b%2B6+=+20b-9 Subtract 5b from both sides.
6+=+15b-9 Add 9 to both sides.
15+=+15b Finally, divide both sides by 15.
1+=+b
Check: Substitute b = 1.
%281%2F2%29%281%29%2B3%2F5+=+2%281%29-9%2F10
5%2F10+%2B+6%2F10+=+20%2F10+-+9%2F10
11%2F10+=+11%2F10 OK!
