Y varies directly as the square root of P
Y = k√P
k = constant of proportionality.
To find k
Y = k√P
2 = k√2
k = 2/√2
Rationalise:
2/√2 x √2/√2
=2√2/2
k = √2
Formula:
Y = √2√P
.........
i) Y = √2 x √3
Y = √6
Y = 2.45 (2 decimal places)
