Question 1015558: Please help me and show all steps. Thanks in advance.

Find all solutions of the equation x^2+4x+10=0 by completing the square. Express the soutions in the form a+bi:
First input the solution with b<0 here:
the real number a equals
and the real number b equals
Then input the solution with b>0 here:
the real number a equals
and the real number b equals

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find all solutions of the equation x^2+4x+10=0 by completing the square. Express the soutions in the form a+bi:
First input the solution with b<0 here:
the real number a equals
and the real number b equals
Then input the solution with b>0 here:
the real number a equals:: 1
and the real number b equals:: 4
----
x^2+4x+10 = 0
----
x^2+4x + 4 = -6
----
(x+2)^2 = -6
------
x+2 = sqrt(6)i or x+2 = -sqrt(6)i
-------------------------
Ans: x = -2 + i*sqrt(6) or x = -2 - isqrt(6)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2+4x+10=0
x^2+4x=-10; move the constant to the right
x^2+4x+4=-10+4=-6. Complete the square, adding the number to both sides.
(x+2)^2=-6
x+2=sqrt (-6), take the square root of both sides.
x= -2+/- i (sqrt (6))
-2+ i sqrt(6); a= -1, b=1
-2- i sqrt(6); a= -2, b=-1
