x is the first number.
x + 1 is the second number.
x + 2 is the third number.

3x + 3 = 60
subtract 3 from both sides of that equation to get:
3x = 57
divide both sides of that equation by 3 to get;
x = 19.

the numbers are 19, 20, 21
add them up and you get 60.
