Question 342431: Divide 20,700km by 10⁶ km and please explain how you did it. My calculator is a piece of junk, and I do not understand it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
Your number 20,700 is the same as 20700.0.
Notice the decimal dot (.) inside my presentation of this number.
To divide by {{10^6}}}, you should move this decimal point 6 (six) units to the left, filling the positions by 0 (by zero), if required.
Doing this way, you will get 20700.0 :  = 0.020700.
