I got 504231 but the book says 504321. Please help. Thanks

Your answer is right. The answer in the book might just be wrong; probably it is a typographical error.

120 numbers each with leading digits 1, 2, 3, or 4: 480 numbers
6 numbers starting 501: 486 numbers
6 numbers starting 502: 492 numbers
6 numbers starting 503: 498 numbers
499th number: 504123
500th: 504132
501st: 504213
502nd: 504231
