like you should have learned in the 4th grade, move the divisor decimal to the right to make it a whole number. Move the decimal in the divided number the same

-19.|57. which is -3

0.57/-0.19 = 57/-19 = -3

Notice how you can move the decimal point wherever you want so long as you move it the same number of places in both the numerator and denominator. Also note that what I did was to multiply both numerator and denominator by 100.

If your calculator is giving -0.03, then you are not entering the correct inputs.


For doing "long division" on paper, do you understand fractions and decimals?
%280.57%2F%28-0.19%29%29%28100%2F100%29=-57%2F19, which is now 57 divided by negative 19.
