The equation I came up with was: x = 100 - (20+35)

but I'm not sure if I'm right. Plz help me

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

yes you are right
There were 100 children at the park.
If 20% =0.20 of the children were under 2 years old =>0.20%2A100=20 children were under 2 years old
and 35% =0.35 were over 6 years old,
=>0.35%2A100=35
how many of the children there were between 2 and 6 years old.
The equation I came up with was: x+=+100+-+%2820%2B35%29 this is correct
x+=+100+-+55
x+=+45 which is 45%
