Question 760370: Hello; I've tried to solve this question but I'm having such a difficult time with it. I believe it's a linear systems equation. Thank you so much for your help; here it is:
For her phone service, Charmaine pays a monthly fee of $27, and she pays an additional $0.07 per minute of use. The least she has been charged in a month is $99.17.
What are the possible numbers of minutes she has used her phone in a month?
Use m for the number of minutes, and solve your inequality for m.

Hello; I've tried to solve this question but I'm having such a difficult time with it.

For the record, this is a LINEAR INEQUALITY.

Using m as the amount of minutes used, she will pay: .07m + 27

Now, since her bill was AT LEAST $99.17, we can then say that: .07m+%2B+27++%3E=+99.17

.07m+%3E=+99.17+-+27

.07m+%3E=+72.17

Amount of minutes used, or highlight_green%28m+%3E=+1031%29

She used AT LEAST 1,031 minutes

You can do the check!!
