Solve 1st for r: r=3p+1
Substitute that into 2nd to get:
6(3p+1)-p=6
18p+6-p=6
18p-p=0
17p=0
p=0

Substitute that into r=3p+1
r=3*0+1
r=1

Solution: r=1; p=0
