Amount of rain at 40ml per hour is 40x
Amount of rain at 20ml per hour is 20x
EQUATION:
rain + rain = 1100 ml of rain
40x+20x=1100
60x=1100
6x=110
x=18 1/3 hrs. or 18hr 20min.
